Q. What age groups do you teach?

A. We cater to children ages 6 and up.  Although or classes are fun and we often play games, we do not consider ourselves a daycare service - we are a martial arts academy first and foremost.  We have found through years of experience that children are more able to comprehend, learn, and execute the techniques of Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai around this age.  Our main goal is to convey those technical skills to your child for use in self-defense and (if desired) competition.  Everything we do from warm up exercises to group games are specifically designed to help your child become a true martial artist.

 

Q. How much do classes cost?

Q. When are classes scheduled?

A. Kids Jiu Jitsu classes run every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 5:00 pm.  Kids Muay Thai classes run Tuesday and Thursday at 5:00 pm and Saturday at 10:00 am.

 

Q. How long are classes?

A. Classes are 50-55 minutes in length.

 

Q. What should my child wear to class?

A. If it is your child's first time attending class, dress them in comfortable shorts and a T-shirt.  Once they join our Jiu Jitsu or Muay Thai program, uniforms are required and can be purchased in our pro shop.

 

Q. What if my child has previous martial arts training?

A. That's awesome! We love working with students of all levels of experience. Bring your child in and we will provide them with a fun and enriching learning experience that they will not find at another gym.

 

Q. Does my child need to compete?

A. Our team frequently travels to competitions all over the country for both Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai.  If you and your child have an interest in competing, we will do our best to prepare your child for the rigors of martial arts competition.  However, we do not require all children to compete in order to train with us or to receive rank in Jiu Jitsu or Muay Thai.
